blob is a neighbourhood bakery that’s been popping up all over Instagram, so I was excited to finally try it. They’re especially known for their salt breads, savoury baguettes, and matcha drinks using Niko Neko. I visited on a Sunday morning expecting a crowd, but it was surprisingly quiet and there were still plenty of bakes available. The Crab Rangoon Salt Bread ($5.40) definitely lived up to the hype. The bread was crisp on the outside and filled with a creamy, savoury crab rangoon filling that was super satisfying. I also liked the added crunch from the breadcrumbs on top. Their version is slightly denser than the usual salt bread, which makes it more filling. The disposable gloves provided are a nice touch :) We also tried the Canele ($3.80) which had a nicely caramelised crust and soft, custardy centre with a distinct vanilla flavour. found this hidden gem with such a cute store name! it was a typical hot and humid day and the aircon was really strong when i stepped into the bakery. i got an iced hojicha and banana loaf, which they heat up for us! absolutely loved BOTH would come back to try their matcha and other bakes!! there are no indoor seating but theres a small corner right outside Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
