Cama Café – Unexpectedly Great Coffee Surprise in Taipei! While strolling around Taipei with my wife, we spotted this Cama Café and decided to pop in – nothing fancy, just needed a break from walking and felt a bit tired. We kept it simple and ordered two regular coffees, no big expectations at all. But wow, when the coffees arrived, it was a total pleasant surprise! I’m no coffee expert by any means, but these cups were seriously aromatic – rich, fragrant, and with a really nice lingering aftertaste (餘韻). If you’re someone who doesn’t like overly acidic coffee (偏酸的那種), Cama’s brews are perfect – smooth, balanced, and full of flavor without any sharp sour notes. Super enjoyable sip after sip. We noticed they have a coffee bean roasting machine right at the entrance (though it wasn’t running when we were there). Would love to catch it in action next time – the fresh roasting vibe is already promising! They also sell packs of beans for take-home, around NT$300–400 or so per bag (roughly HK$100-ish equivalent, great value). Overall, Cama Café turned out to be way better than just a random rest stop. If you’re in the area and craving a solid, freshly roasted cup, definitely drop by – you won’t be disappointed. We’ll 100% go back for another round when we’re in Taipei again!
