Kitty and I visited this stall recently, attracted by the colourful display photos that looked very appetising. We ordered the asam steamed fish set and the sesame oil chicken set. When the dishes were served, we felt rather disappointed. The actual presentation was not even close to what was shown in the stall images. The asam steamed fish came with very little sauce. There was barely enough to coat the fish, and far too little to mix thoroughly with the rice. This made the dish feel quite dry and lacking in the signature tangy flavour. The sesame oil chicken was similarly underwhelming. It had almost no noticeable aroma or taste of sesame oil, which is the key feature of this dish. It tasted more like plain steamed chicken than the rich, fragrant version we expected. On the positive side, both sets included a steamed egg. It was soft, smooth and well cooked, which was a nice touch that added value to the meal. We also found the pricing fair. The original total was 16.40 Singapore dollars. After applying the ten percent discount through the FairPrice app, we paid only 14.76 Singapore dollars for two full meals. This represents good value for money. We also noted a useful option. Customers may choose to replace the fish head portion with a fish tail for an additional two dollars. This gives more flexibility depending on personal preference. We hope the stall will make some simple improvements. Increasing the amount of asam gravy would allow patrons to enjoy the full flavour with their rice. Adding more sesame oil to the chicken recipe would restore its intended taste and fragrance. If these adjustments are made, the food will match the appealing look of the photographs. Overall, this is an affordable and convenient choice. However, do not expect the appearance or flavour intensity shown in the display pictures. Price per person: SGD 1–10

Good tasted like it was rotten, especially their ABC soup. Not only that but their ABC soup, the meat they only gave ONE SMALL tiny piece and when I went back to ask for a refund they worker not only gave me bad attitude like it was my fault but even framed it like it was my fault, they didn't even give me a refund!
