For the environment and atmosphere, it’s valued for money….. food are just normal, pricing is relatively worth especially the Saba Set at only $19++, Katsu At $15++. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Service: Dine in Price per person: $20–30

Very bad experience. I waited more than an hour for my food and no one explained why it was taking so long. The taste was just average and not worth the wait. The price also feels quite expensive for what you get. Overall, very disappointing. Food: 3 Service: 1

Came here once because it was recommended to me. The seaside picturesque scenery is of course captivating. ︎ They even have a red torii gate at the edge of the beach to make it seem like you are transported to Japan. Food-wise, the dishes are tasty. My hubby and I shared the food, and although I am not a fan of saba fish, I must say the grilled mackeral here is rather delicious. As for the okonomiyaki, it is okay. I benchmark all local Japanese food here against the ones I ate in Japan during my trips there. I must say Ku-kai izakaya does a decent job of executing the dishes. Accessibility = it is pretty far for me. We had to drive the family car all the way from Toa Payoh to Sembawang area. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $60–70 Recommended dishes: Okonomiyaki, Seafood
