I was in Japan for a week, my first trip, and my host has an office 3 blocks from Le Lien. I do not like formality, but I like good food. Turned out that Le Lien fits my preferences. We ate there 3 times, all really good. At my hosts request, the Chef made roast chicken to order, really excellent!! The Carrot soup is, without question, the best on planet Earth. No 'foolin, get it!! We also had scallops, the best I've ever tasted. The Desert plate was fantastic, served on a slate, a bit fancy for this plain 'ole American, but very good regular & chocolate cheesecake. Mmm ! He makes his own cheesecake. Over the 3 times we had 2 different waitresses, both spoke some English, both super friendly and attentive, tho my host is Japanese and ordered. Very friendly Chef-Owner, you see him cooking. Small place, nice upscale neighborhood. If you are anywhere near the Ebisu neighborhood, eat at Le Lien !
