聖水駅の近くにある人気のカフェです。 古い工場を改装したような無機質な空間が特徴的で、雰囲気はかなり良いです。 ただ、いつ行っても混んでいます。平日の14時過ぎに行きましたが、注文するまでに15分くらい並び、席を確保するのも一苦労でした。 パンの種類は豊富で、看板メニューのパンドロは見た目のインパクトがあります。山のように積まれた粉糖が特徴ですが、食べる時にどうしても粉が落ちてしまい、服やテーブルが汚れやすい点だけ注意が必要です。 コーヒーは少し酸味があるタイプで、パンとの相性は悪くありません。 ゆっくり読書をしたり作業をしたりするよりは、建物の独特な造りを楽しみながら友人と短時間話すのに向いているお店だと思います。. Visited Cafe Onion Seongsu recently and while it’s definitely one of Seoul’s more Instagram-famous cafés, I personally found it a little overhyped. The Seongsu branch does have a great atmosphere though, with three different seating options — rooftop, outdoor garden and the indoor dining space. We arrived around 3pm and the rooftop was already packed. Worth noting too that the staircase up is pretty steep, so it may not be ideal for anyone with knee issues or concerns with heights. The pastry selection is honestly the highlight here. Lots of variety and beautifully presented, although many of them lean quite sweet. The coffee, however, was a bit disappointing for me and could have used a stronger punch to balance the desserts better. That said, the space itself has plenty of aesthetic and IG-worthy moments, especially if you enjoy industrial-style cafés. Worth visiting if you have the time and want to experience one of Seoul’s more talked-about café spots — just go with expectations managed.
