9月21日(日)、22日(月)と行ってみたけど両日ともシャッターがおりていました。猫の尿の臭いが酷いとかいろいろ書かれていたので閉店したのかしらん。

For me, any visit to Chiang Mai isn't complete without stopping by Sorn Chan for a meal. I just love this unassuming, little eatery. Nothing fancy - in fact, some might even say it's rudimentary. The 2 elderly ladies who run this stall are unobtrusively friendly and welcoming, and the food that they serve is tasty enough, in all its simplicity. Don't expect to be blown away by an explosion of taste and flavour : here, the food aims to simply satisfy, while the setting takes you back to yesteryear : a bit of fan-wind calm, smack in the middle of it all in Chiang Mai. Eventhough it's located very close to Tha Phae gate, you'll hardly find tourists here. Good or bad, you decide : but Sorn Chan - and the very affordable bowl of pork egg noodles (ba mee mu) which I usually slurrp-up - gets my vote for sure!
