Surf Cafe Ulu in Aoshima has a unique and cozy vibe, making it an inviting spot for a quick meal or a coffee break. We tried the curry rice, Napolitan pasta, and mixed fruits yogurt. The food was decent, though not exceptional, but it offered a nice balance of flavors and a refreshing finish with the yogurt. What stood out was the atmosphere — rustic and surfer-inspired, with small but thoughtful touches. However, the overall experience was slightly dampened by the cooler response from the staff. It’s possible this was due to the staff member managing everything alone, from cooking to taking orders and serving food. This understandably might have made her appear less engaging during our visit. While the service aspect could use improvement, the effort to keep the place running efficiently with limited resources is commendable. If you’re in the area and looking for a casual meal, it’s worth giving Surf Cafe Ulu a try. With a bit more support for the staff, the cafe has the potential to be an even more enjoyable spot for both locals and visitors. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
