清澄白河にある、スウェーデン人の店主さんが営む北欧カフェ。 こちらの店主さん、とにかくこだわりがすごいんです！ お店で出しているパンやスイーツは麹から手作りした味噌などの発酵調味料をベースにしているそう！！ 日本人でも味噌を手作りしてる人なんていませんよね…？w 今回はバナナブレッドとカルダモンロールをいただきました。 バナナブレッドは手作味噌を使っているそうで、これが衝撃的な美味しさ…！！ 今まで食べたバナナブレッドの中でトップ3には入る！ 平日の16時で私以外お客さんもおらずゆっくりできました〜. There is a place in Kiyosumi Koto-ku — which some call the Brooklyn of Tokyo, though Brooklyn has never been so polite about it, where the impossible arithmetic of identity resolves itself over oat milk. In the forest if you look hard enough you can see the tree. Tallskogen is half Japanese, half Swedish, half café, half yoga studio, which already makes it two whole things more than most establishments dare to be. The space is small. The ambition is not. One senses that the furniture was chosen by someone who has read all the right magazines and then, mercifully, forgotten them. A stone’s throw from the Edo Museum, it sits in that particular geography where history and gentrification hold hands and pretend they’ve always been friends. You will not get a seat. This is the first thing to understand. Full capacity here is not a warning but a permanent condition, a state of being, like gravity or the desire for Scandinavian design. The bodies arrange themselves on mats and at counters, stretching, sipping, existing in that uniquely contemporary way where self-care and caffeine consumption have become indistinguishable from one another. The coffee is exceptionally good (best in Tokyo as far as I can tell). Tallskogen does not ask you to choose between cultures or between wellness and pleasure. It simply assumes you are already the kind of person who doesn’t see a contradiction. You may, upon leaving, feel slightly taller. Be suspicious of this. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
