1 star for being a public nuisance. The repeated recording of a bell being spammed at night is extremely annoying and disruptive. Spare a thought for the people working in the stores beside you. If the sushi is genuinely good, there’s no need to rely on such irritating tactics.

When I ordered, I asked them not to put sauce on my rice, but they did. If you put sauce on your rice, make it salty and sweet. When the customer speaks, listen carefully. Service: Takeaway Price per person: $1–10 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

I usually enjoy dining at umisushi Compass One, but I had a disappointing experience during my visit on 18 May 2025 around 12pm. The Filipino male manager, who was skinny and wearing a black collared button-up shirt, was unexpectedly rude and unprofessional in both tone and attitude. It made what is normally a pleasant visit quite unpleasant. To make matters worse, he did not provide a receipt for my purchase, so I have limited information to reference for this complaint. I plan to return next Sunday to request a receipt directly. If I’m able to obtain it, I will update this review accordingly. That said, the food itself was excellent. The udon was absolutely delicious—the broth was rich and flavorful, perfectly complementing the chewy noodles. The crab sticks, narutomaki (fish cake), wakame seaweed, and scallions added both texture and visual appeal. On another occasion, I also tried a version with aburaage (fried tofu) and seaweed, which added great depth of flavor. The portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful. Despite the service issue, I still recommend umisushi for its authentic and satisfying Japanese meals. I hope management can address the service experience so that it matches the quality of the food.
