I ordered Katsu Don but the staff keyed Teriyaki Don. The auntie wasn’t attentive in taking orders and only realized after the food was ready. She did not offer any service recovery which is disappointing, at the very least staff should counter offer in remaking the order if it’s their error. The tables were not regularly wiped either. Neo Group must train their staff to ensure such tasks are done. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: SGD 1–10 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Ordered takeaway teriyaki bento at 7:15pm. It was only ready at 7.40pm. The person before me finished eating her bento dine in and mine wasn't ready. It's a long wait when there's no queue. I didn't wait this long from other outlet. It's nicely packed and Food is nice. Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

I usually enjoy dining at umisushi Compass One, but I had a disappointing experience during my visit on 18 May 2025 around 12pm. The Filipino male manager, who was skinny and wearing a black collared button-up shirt, was unexpectedly rude and unprofessional in both tone and attitude. It made what is normally a pleasant visit quite unpleasant. To make matters worse, he did not provide a receipt for my purchase, so I have limited information to reference for this complaint. I plan to return next Sunday to request a receipt directly. If I’m able to obtain it, I will update this review accordingly. That said, the food itself was excellent. The udon was absolutely delicious—the broth was rich and flavorful, perfectly complementing the chewy noodles. The crab sticks, narutomaki (fish cake), wakame seaweed, and scallions added both texture and visual appeal. On another occasion, I also tried a version with aburaage (fried tofu) and seaweed, which added great depth of flavor. The portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful. Despite the service issue, I still recommend umisushi for its authentic and satisfying Japanese meals. I hope management can address the service experience so that it matches the quality of the food.
