店内は清掃で感じの良い店でスタッフの皆様も親切で笑顔が素晴らしくて良かったです。鰻の白焼きは皮はパリパリ身はふわふわで最高の焼きでした薬すだち山葵も凄く合いました肝吸い鰻重も焼き加減やタレもとても美味しかったですここの鰻屋はレベルが高いです料理人の心込たのが伝わって来ますご馳走様でした有難う御座います. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

年末に、昼間な初来訪。 ちょい待ちで、入店。 名古屋といったら、ひつまぶし！ 上をオーダー。 そんなに待たずに、着丼。 まずは、一口、いや、３口。 かりかりで旨い！ 普段は、関東うなぎだから新鮮な味わい。 半分食べたら、お約束の出汁をかけて、バクバク。 つけものも美味しい。汁物なしは、寂しいが、物価高はやもうえん！ だしはおかわりOK! お上品な店内で、おっさん大満足 ご馳走様でした。. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: ¥4,000–5,000 Parking options: Parking is unavailable

We originally planned to try Atsuta Houraiken (Matsuzakaya branch), but with an early flight the next morning, we decided to stay close to our hotel and have an earlier dinner instead. うなぎ日和 名古屋駅店 turned out to be just a 2-minute walk away — and honestly, we have zero regrets. All four of us ordered the standard hitsumabushi (1 whole eel). Following the restaurant’s clear instructions on the three traditional ways of eating hitsumabushi, we enjoyed every stage of the meal thoroughly. Each variation brought out a different dimension of the eel, and it was a joy to experience how the flavours evolved from bowl to bowl. What stood out most was the texture of the eel — a beautifully crispy, smoky exterior paired with an incredibly soft, fluffy interior. The balance was spot on, and the eel was neither greasy nor heavy. Even my wife, who is usually a small eater, managed to finish the entire 1-eel portion on her own (hence the empty bowl picture above to show her accomplishment :)), which says a lot. This was genuinely one of the most delicious Japanese meals we’ve had. The service was warm and friendly. Although we didn’t make a reservation, the staff kindly accommodated us after confirming that we were comfortable finishing our meal before 7:30pm. We arrived early at around 5:40pm, so it wasn’t an issue at all. The restaurant itself is small, contemporary, warm, and cosy, seating around 20 people. Because of its limited capacity, I would definitely recommend making a reservation to avoid disappointment — unless you’re able to go early like we did. If you’re looking for an excellent hitsumabushi experience right next to Nagoya Station, this place is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended! P.S. The entrance to the restaurant is quite easy to miss — it’s a small, discreet door located right next to Nagoya Grand Hotel (as shown in the photos).
