When you step into Vis Cafe next to Yuanshan Station, you feel like you have entered another time and space. Every detail here seems to tell a distant but close to the heart story. The dazzling array of spirits on the shelves and the small cultural and creative objects for sale complement each other, creating a picture of the intertwining of history and modernity. Those old wooden tables and rattan cabinets from decades ago exude the fragrance of time, reminding people of those simple but fulfilling days in the past. The seating area and sofa area in the basement were originally Japanese-style layouts left over from private houses. After clever modifications, they still retain the tranquility and comfort. There are charging facilities, air-conditioning, and the warmth of an old house. It feels like friends reunited after a long separation. No words are needed. Just sit down and you can feel the deep affection and understanding between each other. On this afternoon, I chose mango bubbles and fragrant marigold. The sweetness of mango is like the breeze in early summer, gently caressing the heart, bringing a touch of coolness and comfort. The fragrant marigold is like a gentle poem, exuding a light fragrance and accompanying me through this long afternoon. Their taste is not strong or overt, but it leaves a vague aftertaste in the mouth, just like certain moments in life, simple but worth recalling. Here, I didn’t deliberately think about anything or do anything deliberately. Just sit quietly and let your thoughts drift as time goes by. Everything around me seems to remind me: the beauty in life is often hidden in the inadvertent little things. When you slow down and calm down, you can feel the extraordinary in the ordinary. The atmosphere of Vis Cafe is like a gentle hug, where people can put down all their defenses and be their truest selves. This feeling, like a long-lost hometown, makes people feel at ease. Even in the busy city, you can find a spiritual habitat. The service attitude here makes people feel at ease. There is not too much greeting, but inadvertently, people feel the sincerity and warmth. When I sat at the old wooden table and looked at the wooden standing lamp emitting warm light through the paper, at that moment, it seemed that time had stopped, all the noise was far away, and only the peace and contentment deep in my heart remained.
