Led to this restaurant by a food blog. We were the only foreigners here. No English is spoken and the menu is only in Thai. We used Google translate to get by. The restaurant is on a beach on the Kok river, next to a busy bridge. It was quiet when we were there, but the number of tables suggests it gets a lot busier. Most seating is outside. There was music and it looks like there is live music sometimes. The food was really good N Thai staples. A papaya salad was particularly fresh and piquant, the best we have had in Thailand. A whole chicken had excellent crispy skin and was served with excellent sauces. All other dishes were good. On the night we went it probably wasn’t worth the 20 + mins drive from Chiang Rai but on a busy night when full of locals I suspect it would have been a brilliant experience.
