Excellent Thai cooking with a lot of care behind it. The standout was the kua gai, recommended by the owner: smoky, savoury and full of contrasting textures, with little pockets of char on both the chicken and noodles adding a wonderful aroma. The salted egg squid was nicely done, the sauce had enough body to cling without becoming heavy or gloopy. Every plate arrived thoughtfully presented. Their butterfly pea and lime drink was especially charming, with both the butterfly pea flowers and limes grown in their own garden. The dining area is quite open, so expect the occasional insect visitor, but the food is well worth it. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ฿200–400 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

I was utterly in awe of the fascinating and thrilling local Thai cuisine and nature ambience at โกยตังค์59/1. What truly sets this restaurant apart is its peaceful atmosphere. A refreshing contrast to the clamorous vibe of urban Thai eateries.
