日曜の11時過ぎに利用。 日曜にも関わらず、ランチメニューがありました！ 私は、5食限定の海老天丼をオーダー。 海老天のほかにもレンコンやシソ、ナスなど具だくさんの天丼で濃いめの味付けが印象的でした。 （衣サクサクで美味しいのですが個人的には薄味派なので星4で） 観光シーズンから外れていたのか店内は落ち着いており、未就学児２名も一緒でしたがゆっくり過ごせました。 Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

東根市の人気店「そばと酒 まるよし」さんで、冷たい肉そば・チキン南蛮・野菜天ぷらのセットをいただきました。まずは看板の冷たい肉そば。しっかりとしたコシのある田舎そばに、鶏の旨みがじんわり染み出たつゆが絶品。キリッと冷えていながらも、鶏油のコクと甘みがバランスよく、まさに山形らしい味わいです。たっぷりのネギがアクセントになり、最後まで飽きずに箸が進みます。 セットのチキン南蛮も驚くほど美味しく、外はカリッと中はジューシー。自家製のタルタルソースがたっぷりかかっていて、甘酸っぱい南蛮ダレとの相性が抜群。ボリュームもありながら重すぎず、満足感の高い一品でした。さらに添えられた天ぷらは、旬の野菜がサクッと軽い衣で揚がっていて、素材の味をしっかり感じられます。 どの料理も丁寧な仕事ぶりが感じられ、店名の通り“そばと酒”をゆっくり楽しみたくなるようなお店。地元の方にも観光客にも自信をもっておすすめできる、東根の名店です。 I visited Soba to Sake Maruyoshi in Higashine City and tried their set of cold meat soba, chicken nanban, and assorted vegetable tempura. Everything was exceptional — a perfect showcase of Yamagata’s local flavors and craftsmanship. The cold meat soba, their signature dish, features firm, chewy soba noodles served in a chilled broth infused with the rich umami of chicken. Despite being cold, the soup carries a deep, comforting warmth from the rendered chicken fat, balanced beautifully with just the right touch of sweetness. The generous topping of fresh green onions adds brightness and crunch, making every bite refreshing yet satisfying to the very end. The chicken nanban was another highlight — perfectly fried with a crisp exterior and juicy, tender meat inside. It was generously topped with homemade tartar sauce that had just the right amount of acidity, blending wonderfully with the sweet-and-sour nanban glaze. The flavor balance and portion size made it both indulgent and surprisingly light. The vegetable tempura completed the meal perfectly. Lightly battered and fried to a golden crisp, each piece allowed the natural taste of the vegetables to shine through — proof of careful preparation and skill. Every dish reflected meticulous attention to detail and respect for ingredients. True to its name, this is a place where you can savor great soba and enjoy a relaxing drink in a warm, authentic atmosphere.
