Have been coming here regularly—easily 1–2 times a week—for their kopi o kosong bing, which I actually prefer over the more popular chain in Velocity. Funny enough, never really considered having a proper meal here until recently. Tried the chicken cutlet nasi lemak and was pleasantly surprised. The rice (not basmati) is nicely aromatic with balanced coconut notes—fragrant without being too rich. The chicken came warm with a crispy skin, and you get a subtle hint of hae bee in the batter, which adds a nice savoury depth. Sambal is solid too, with a decent kick. Only slight miss was the egg, could’ve been fried a bit longer, especially the white part. Portion-wise, it’s on the smaller side—especially the chicken—but fair enough given it’s under $10 and you’re dining in a comfortable, air-conditioned cafe setting. Not mind-blowing, but a reliable, fuss-free option. Meal type: Lunch Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

I decided to try this place instead of toastbox, but I was disappointed with the coffee portion. As shown in the photo, I ordered a large cup (topped up), but it only came in a bigger mug. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Food: 2

I ordered the fried bee hoon and asked if I could have only luncheon meat and egg. I was told it was possible, but I wasn’t informed that the price would be the same as the full set, which includes fish chip as well. It would have been helpful to know this before placing my order — I would have kept the fish chip since the price remained unchanged. The portion of luncheon meat was also quite small, just two thin slices. To be fair, the taste was quite good. However, at $10.20, I don’t feel it was worth the price. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
