If you are visiting Fuji Fishing Harbor (富基漁港), Lai Lai Seafood (來來海鮮) is an absolute must-visit for incredible food. The ingredients here are exceptionally fresh, expertly prepared, and bursting with flavor. We averaged about NT$1,500 per person. While I cannot confirm if that is considered expensive by local Taiwan standards, it is granted super cheap by USA standards for such incredibly fresh, live seafood. To top it all off, the service was superb from the moment we walked in—the staff was attentive, friendly, and fast. One important thing to note for international tourists, however, is that the restaurant is unfortunately not well-suited for English or non-Chinese speakers. Communicating and ordering the live seafood can be a bit challenging without some Chinese language skills, so it is best to come prepared with a translation app or a local friend. That being said, every single dish we ordered hit the mark. The crab (螃蟹) was sweet and perfectly cooked, and the stir-fried clams (海瓜子) were incredibly savory and fresh. The steamed white shrimp (白蝦) were beautifully plump with a natural sweetness, and the grilled grouper (石斑魚) was an absolute standout, featuring perfectly crispy skin and tender, flaky meat. Even the simpler sides shined; the fried cabbage (高麗菜) was surprisingly good, packed with that perfect, smoky wok-flavor. Beyond the food, the restaurant offers a fantastic atmosphere. If you can, ask to sit on the second floor, which boasts a lovely, relaxing oceanfront view that pairs perfectly with a seafood feast. As for a few quick practical tips: they do conveniently offer free parking (免費停車) if you dine in, and the restrooms (洗手間) are located outside in the back. Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience, and I will definitely be coming back the next time I'm in Shimen (石門)! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $1,400–1,600
