近くにある海洋博物館に子供を連れてやって来ました。お昼を近くで、と思いこのお店を探し当てました。昔ながらの麺のお店、と一緒に行った台湾人の家族の人達が言ってました。(私は日本人なので昔ながらの、の昔、を知りません)ビーフン、白麺、油麺とある中で白麺を頼みました。シンプルな味ですがとても美味しくいただきました。おつまみの天ぷら(さつま揚げのようなもの)やちくわもありましたが、そちらはいまいち。看板メニューの排骨(骨付きパーコー)がなかなか美味しかったです。近くに行かれた方はぜひ。

A surprising find at Badaouzi when we were just passing by and looking for a simple lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Place was packed and we had to queue for a while but it was worth it. Seafood noodle soup came with large fresh prawns and squids, and pieces of pork. Soup was clear yet very flavourful and chewy white noodles completed the bowl. (dish only available on weekends!!) Husband got the pork belly rice bowl and the pork fat melts instantly in your mouth, bursting with savoury goodness. Absolutely loved the braised pork rice too, we got a small bowl just to try and it was one of our favourites. Fried prawn roll was nicely seasoned too and went well with everything else we ordered. Will pass on the blanched vegetables next time though, it was bland and we're not used to the taste. Happy with my visit and it was indeed a gem in this quiet part of New Taipei.
