Amazing small place in Kyoto! The owner is lovely and the food is delicious. There is an English menu so don't feel discouraged to order! Definitely the place to go for that authentic Japanese feel. Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000

It was like having your mom cook your favorite dishes with love, while your uncles drink beer and watch baseball. Very charming experience, and a nice break from the hustle of touristy places.
