the fire is big and it looked promising when the food was being cooked but the taste is not for me and the meat used in the crispy pork is of the lowest grade - fats and sinews galore if u like them but i dont. the cabbage taste is not the kind i like. could not finish the food apart from a few bites Meal type: Dinner Price per person: SGD 10–20 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

番茄炒蛋 辣子鸡 干煸四季豆 水煮鱼 炝炒包菜 咱家小厨 210 Lor 8 Toa Payoh, Singapore 310210 Food wise: All is good! Well cooked, served hot, savoury, lightly salted and not too oily! One could say that each of these dishes is well adapted to the healthier culture, not too oily and not too salty while maintaining the unique China style of cooking. The best of these dishes, if one were to choose, might be the 辣子鸡, well fried, chewy, spicy if you bite the chilli and delicious! It does have its downside, usually the chilli would be way more than the chicken pieces, so it is somewhat of a treasure hunt. The 干煸四季豆 is good too! Each long bean was evenly coated with the aromatic and savoury olive veg, so good! Actually, the 水煮鱼was pretty worth it, many pieces of fish, firm, sweet, fresh and spicy, and underneath them was a generous amount of cabbage, bean sprouts and other ingredients to eat with the rice. Be careful though, this dish can be scalding, even after a while. Ambience wise: Hawker centre! Relatively clean! Service wise: Uncle is friendly. Food was served quickly!
