若いご夫婦が切り盛りしている麺のお店。 長期間の台湾旅行であっさりした食べ物が恋しくなり、GoogleMapで検索して滞在ホテルの直ぐ側にあるこちらの餐廳を発見、早速訪れてみました。 お店は裏路地のひっそりとしたところにあり、バイクで行きましたが停めてる時から笑顔がとても素敵な奥さんが出迎えてくれました。 メニューは2024年6月現在で2種類の麺のみ。(セットにするとボーボー鶏の副菜と冷たくて甘くて美味しい紅茶が付きます) 今回は老闆推薦セットを注文。鰹出汁のあっさりとしたスープがとても優しく、副菜の鶏も柔らかくて美味、すぐ完食してしまいました。若くしてこんなに奥深い味が出せるお二人にとても感心しました。 お昼と夕食の時間帯のみの営業ですが、花蓮にきたら是非立ち寄って頂きたい餐廳です。. This may be the oddest restaurant review you’ve ever read, but then again, it was under a most unusual circumstance that I encountered this noodle shop. It was the fifth day on which I was stranded in Hualien, the Lotus City, cut off from the rest of Taiwan island due to first a landslide then Typhoon Krathon. After my stays at Le Méridien and Ramada Encore by Wyndham, I was looking for a place, regardless of stars, within a reasonable walking distance, in the pouring rain, mind you, from the train station, so that, should either the north or southbound train services be resumed, I could be one of the first people to witness the mayhem, hopefully with a ticket in hand that would take me out of my misery. I found one, or so I assumed, on Booking.com in early afternoon and proceeded to the address shown on the app. Upon securing the reservation, I also sent a message via Booking.com inquiring about early check-in. Getting off the taxi, I found myself standing in front of hostel-like storefront that looked like it hadn’t been in business for a while. That was when I noticed a cute little restaurant with a cute little name next to the hotel. Settle as I may for a two-star accommodation, I find it utterly beneath me to wait an hour outside just to save a few bucks. I entered Shu Shu and was greeted by the welcoming male owner with friendly words of warning, “We only serve noodles,” to which I replied, “I’m only looking for a place to sit.” The truth is, I had just had lunch before setting foot on the premises, which brings forth a serious issue when it comes to reviewing a restaurant, as I’m the type that gets nauseated easily by any smell of food when bloated. “Just grin and bear it,” I convinced myself, placing a check mark next to “Zhajiangmian, the set meal,” the least expensive item on the one-page menu. When my order was served, I swear I smelled something fishy, which almost prompted a retch, which was weird considering the famous dish should consist primarily of a silky fried sauce with select minced pork and soybean paste, courting a bowel of fresh noodles. Of course, knowing myself, it could’ve been purely psychological. Besides, “You’ll know for sure once you have a bite,” I reckoned. And the next thing I knew, I’d finished the bowl, along with the side dish of chicken. I am not able to tell you exactly why I enjoyed the food at Shu Shu, because my relatively discriminating taste buds had switched to the auto sleep mode earlier after lunch. However, I can assure you that it was no small feat to get me to open my mouth, not to mention devouring the whole thing, when my stomach was beyond full. And for that reason alone, Shu Shu deserves a second chance from me, and a visit from others, marooned in Hualien or otherwise. Ps. Hearing my enthusiastic praise on the floor tiles in the private dining room, the male owner replied, seemingly with pride, “My wife picked the pattern.” Now that’s a real man. 這篇或許會是你讀過最奇怪的餐飲評論，但平心而言，我就是在不尋常情況下才得知這家麵館的存在。 我隨著花蓮有土石流在先，山陀兒颱風在後變成台灣島上的孤島，被困在這裡已是第五天了。體驗過花蓮艾美度假酒店和花蓮力麗華美達安可酒店，我只想找個離火車站很近，或者說在狂風暴雨中走路到火車站都不嫌遠的地方過夜，幾顆星甚至有沒有星都不重要，只要隔日一早，台鐵宣布南或北迴線恢復通車時，我能跑去車站，在茫茫人海搶到一張回歸塵囂的票，就心滿意足了。 這天下午一點在Booking.com找到了我當時以為俗擱大碗的佛心住宿。訂單確認，經由Booking.com傳訊息給店家詢問是否可提早入住後，就搭小黃到app所給的地址。一下車，望著店面，我腦海浮現的是「有多久沒營業了」的問號。 心開始涼的同時，我注意到隔壁門面和店名都很口愛的餐館，並沒因為颱風天打烊。我或許能接受國際三顆星以下的旅店，但絕沒為了省幾文錢在外面站著枯等的吝嗇。問題是，我當時才剛吃了午餐，更糟糕的是，我是那種剛吃飽不但不想聞到食物，連聊到食物我都想嘔吐的人。 用「反正點了沒吃不犯法」自我說服後，我踏進咻咻，耳邊傳來的是好客男主人善意的提醒：「我們只有麵食喔」，我則不假思索地回覆：「沒關係，反正我只是找個地方坐一下」。尋到空位坐下來，我點了一頁菜單上價位最低的炸醬麵套餐。 麵送上桌時，我發誓我聞到類似泰國料理常見的蝦醬的味道，胸口立即湧上一陣噁心。告訴自己，應該只是心理作用，畢竟炸醬不都只有特定部位的絞豬肉和豆乾煸香嗎？啊吃一口不就知道了？想那麼多幹嘛？ 回過神來，我不但整碗快吃光，連以雞肉為主的副食都一掃而空，古早味紅茶也灌下兩大杯。老實說，我平時算歷練豐富的味蕾，早在吃完午飯自動進入沉睡模式，所以無法跟你分析自己是怎麼喜歡這味，但我能夠肯定的是，飽腹胃撐著吃完另一頓，這輩子絕對是頭一回。光這個事實，就證明店家廚藝不菲，也足夠理由讓我再度惠顧，也推薦他人蒞臨咻咻，即使是又一次被困在花蓮市。 註：當我忍不住讚美，說非常喜歡包廂裡的地磚，老板聽了很驕傲地回覆：是我老婆選的。懂得在外人面前把自己女人捧在手心的，才是真漢子，好男人。.
