Dare I say, 大哥雞飯 Cock N Rice gives you a birkin bag type experience. While nothing by itself stands out, the birkin experience is only achieved with a playful mix and match of food offered in their set. First drink their seasonal soup, cleanse the palate a bit. Then eat their vegetable choi sum bathed in salty fish soup, absolutely bomb. Then grab a piece of chicken and dip it in their sauce. I recommend the sour and spicy one for a little kick, plus the ginger scallion oil. Oh but it’s not over yet. Pair it with the herbs infused chicken oil rice. And you thought that’s max umami? Grab the grilled pork neck and do the same, with the chicken. Reach FLOW STATE as you wash it down, with milk tea (70% or 50% sweet is good enough). Birkin. Type. Experience.
