ミシュラン1つ星レストランってことで少し緊張して行きました。予約もなく、時間も遅かったのですが、快く確認してくださり、閉店まで1時間しかないけどいいですか？と聞かれOKして通されました。メニューがものすごく多くて本当に迷います。どれも魅力的で。よくわからないものは質問すると丁寧に説明して下さって、こういう事がミシュラン獲得なんだなと思いました。お料理はどれも本当に美味しくて、旅のステキな思い出となりました。また次に台北に旅行する際もぜひ行きたいお店です。 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Michelin-Starred Hangzhou Chinese Cuisine Tien Hsiang Lo is a revelation. Specializing in Hangzhou-style Chinese cuisine, this elegant restaurant delivers a dining experience that is both refined and welcoming—perfect for anyone open to trying something new. My partner and I were celebrating a personal milestone during our visit—**our 60th Michelin star** and **our 38th Michelin restaurant** together (yes, we keep a list!). Tien Hsiang Lo absolutely lived up to the occasion and then some. We weren’t familiar with this type of regional Chinese cuisine, so we were pushing ourselves out of our comfort zone—and we’re so glad we did. Every dish was not only delicious and thoughtfully prepared, but also **presented with incredible artistry**. The attention to detail in the plating elevated the entire meal—it was clear that just as much care went into how the food looked as how it tasted. Standout plates included the **stir-fried river shrimp with pearl peas** (light, flavorful, and the crunchiest pearl peas imaginable), the **water shield soup with fish ball** (elegant and delicate—the lightest fish ball I've ever tasted), the **yellow croaker fish with garlic** (packed with flavor and beautifully sauced), and the **scallops with spring gourd**, which was simply exceptional. Dessert continued to impress: a lovely **almond sweet soup with Bird’s Nest**, and a rich **adzuki bean creamy cake** that balanced sweet and savory notes beautifully. Beyond the food, the service was exceptional—gracious, attentive, and full of thoughtful touches. One of the most memorable moments was being presented with a **hand-written menu on a scroll**—a stunning and personal detail that added to the overall magic of the experience. The restaurant itself is **absolutely stunning**—a serene, stylish space with **pillowed seating that made it one of the most comfortable Michelin-starred restaurants we've ever been to**. Tien Hsiang Lo fully deserves its Michelin star and is highly recommended—whether you're a seasoned fine-dining enthusiast or just eager to explore something new and beautifully executed.
