Please do yourself a favor and not come here. Hotpot in itself is an inexpensive meal but we heard that if you come to Haidilao, you come for the service it provides as that itself is an experience. We had high expectations as someone coming from hongkong. One thing that stood out is how much more expensive it is for each item here compare to the ones in Canada. Each plate of meat and veggies will cost at least 150HKD. With the cost being so high, we expected more per plate... We spent around 750 HKD for two and we both left the restaurant feeling hungry and unsatisfied. When we arrived, we were not greeted right away by the waiters. We were ignored for a few minutes before being sat down. That should've been the sign for us the leave. We ordered a few items and honestly the only positive thing that I can say was that the broth was flavourful. The meat quality was very Medicore. The noodle dance wasn't available. The skewers we ordered were not hot/ tasted like it's been out for a few minutes. 1/2 the sauce/snack bar was empty. The water we had was room temperature. Our table did not have any napkins. The waiters did not bring us any apron. One of two ladles is clearly seen as dirty, at first we thought maybe it was used for our broth but it was clearly dried out fat/ had some stains on it. Even during the meal, the waiters did not come to refill the broth with extra soup for us, nor the tables beside us until they asked. This was one of the worst experience we ever had at a restaurant and we really recommend you to stay away. Its unacceptable how unprofessional everything was considering the price you are paying. We should've spent my money at McDonald's instead. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: HK$500+ Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Had a terrible experience, went later at night expecting a smaller crowd and earlier wait. Was told under a 20 minute wait, which was fine but ended up waiting closer to 30mins. As expected there was a smaller crowd. Service was horrible, no greeting, no aprons, no assistance with anything. They charged a 10% service charge. Overall less options than other locations, but manageable. Ordered our food and waited for 15 min with nothing, had to ask the waiter until we were served. We ordered single ingredients, nothing that should've taken more than 5 mins. Server wasn't really friendly during the stay. It had been 40mins since we got the the restaurant and still no food. While food eventually came ended up having to cancel a few because they just did not come. Overall the quality of food was very low considering the price we paid. Seated next to the dishwasher and watched the workers be unhygienic with food. Waiters disappeared at times. This was not the servce or experience we expected from haidilao and we were very disappointed, would not recommend to anyone. I thought haidilao was known for their attentive services but I guess not, now I am discouraged to visit any haidilaos. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: HK$200–250 Food: 1 Atmosphere: 1
