A gem hidden in the “mushroom pavilion” of Yuen long, quite a bit off of the main road, Castle Peak Road. More than thirty years in the running and serves signature pork chop and chicken wing over rice. It has good reputation for a good reason. The pork chop is a thick cut with a wonderful texture — enough of a chew and enough tenderness. The sauce can be a simple house soy sauce or curry, and we opted for soy sauce. Topped with a fried egg for a touch of yolky creaminess. Very reasonable price for a filling lunch. Needless to say, the environment is that of a wet market vibe, but cleanliness is not an issue. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Price per person: $1–50
