故鄉燒酒螺 is a classic spot for Taiwanese "燒酒螺" (spicy wine snails) but as a tourist I'm not used to the flavour. The freshness is mix as some snails are stinky. There's variety of spice levels, from mild to super hot. It's a fun, messy snack perfect for sharing. While the price might seem a bit steep for a snack, the addictive savory and spicy flavors make it worthwhile. Overall It's a unique local experience you shouldn't miss if you're in the area!
