Celebrated our 74-month anniversary at Hiyama in Hopewell Centre with their A5 Wagyu sukiyaki set ($698). Three premium cuts (chuck cap, chuck eye roll, and chuck flap) totaling 160g were beautifully marbled and very tender. The sukiyaki sauce was rich and authentic. Appetizers were refined and the pink pineapple dessert was refreshing. Tableside cooking added a nice touch. Great value and atmosphere for a special occasion! The century-old sukiyaki restaurant Hiyama has been awarded - for ten straight years, and everything starts with carefully selected premium Wagyu, paired with a secret sukiyaki broth airlifted from its Tokyo branch. I tried the日山 · 春祭 and it felt like a warm, delicate, and quietly impressive journey through Japanese comfort food—especially the A5 Wagyu sirloin and Okinawa Agu pork. The highlight, of course, was the sukiyaki: the aroma was warm, woodsy, and fragrant, and the beef was tender and buttery, melting in your mouth.
