I’ve eaten at here more times than I can count, mostly because it’s my absolute favorite cheat code for Taichung buffets. While everyone else is fighting a digital war to get reservations at Eat Together or Hi-Lai Harbour, you can basically waltz right in here. Escaping the online waiting list purgatory? Yes, please. The food variety is a solid A+. We're talking an entire marathon of eating, from mountains of seafood to dim sum. The quality actually holds up, too—the sashimi and salads are genuinely fresh, with none of that "still slightly frozen in the middle" nonsense. Plus, their refill speed is beautifully aggressive. You never have to awkwardly stalk an empty steam tray waiting for the good stuff to magically reappear. Now, for the plot twist: the "open kitchen." I love transparency, but looking at some of their kitchen equipment is like looking at a teenager's bedroom. It desperately needs a scrub down, and it looks like it hasn't seen a sponge in days. The floors back there are also looking a little wild. I get that they keep the customer walkways spotless, but guys, if you're going to put the kitchen on display, you actually have to clean the stage! Price-wise, this is definitely sitting at the top tier compared to its rivals, so your wallet will feel the burn. As for the service, many of the staff seem to be hardworking foreign workers. They are doing their best, though the heavy accents mean you might occasionally play a quick game of charades to get your point across. It's not a bad thing at all, just something a little extra communication training could smooth out. Overall, despite the kitchen needing a good power wash and the premium price tag, I’ll absolutely keep coming back. It’s a fantastic, stress-free spot for family gatherings, celebrations, and just hanging out without the reservation headache.
