If you are traveling along the coast of Pingtung, you absolutely must stop at Sea Dolphin Bay. While many people stop here just for a quick break at the famous 7-ELEVEN, they are missing out on the real treasure that lies right on the shoreline. This isn't just a typical sandy beach; it is a fascinating destination for anyone who appreciates the raw, natural beauty of the earth. A Paradise of Natural Quartz and Ores The most incredible part of this beach is the variety of stones scattered along the water's edge. Unlike many other beaches in Taiwan that are either pure sand or dark volcanic rock, Sea Dolphin Bay is home to an abundance of beautiful natural quartz and various mineral ores. As the waves wash over the shoreline, the stones glisten under the bright Pingtung sun. I spent hours walking along the coast, and I was amazed by the different textures and colors of the minerals I found.
