This is a sashimi-only place. Nothing else. Come with plenty of margin for time, because the fish is flash frozen and will require 10-20 minutes to thaw while you wait to enjoy. Selection is seasonal. The owner explains what they do, how they prepare the fish and how to wait on thawing, etc. The decor is interesting lots of One Piece Japanese comic figurines. Fun experience. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $400–600 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

On this small island of Penghu where they are known for their prestine beaches and annual summer international fireworks festival, seafood is also abundant! So here we are to try the freshest sashimi! As per the owner, the sashimi is very fresh, cut and stored in low temperature to freeze any bacteria out before consumption. So when we ordered our portion, we had to wait abit for it to defrost. While waiting we asked the owner about the decor in the shop. Too many anime characters figurines! He explains there is an anime character featured every year during one of their festivals on this island. So he started buying one every year and soon it became a collection! Travel to penghu during may and July if you want to see any of these events, which also is their busy period. We asked if he has any uni for sale. He was taken aback and said it is usually reserved for his friends and regulars. But since we are tourists and asked for it, he sold us some. The uni taste really really sweet and fresh! Very good quality indeed. Love the salmon belly too. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
