This place is outstanding! We came in without a reservation one evening and were lucky to get a spot immediately. As soon as you enter the door it feels magical and welcoming. The walls are filled with photographs and the wooden interior gives the place a special vibe. When we went for dinner at 澤村日本料理, it was all set menus and we opted for the smallest out of 3 options - in hindsight we should have gone for the largest because everything we had has been amazing. The food was exceptional and the chef eagerly and patiently explained all of the dishes. We especially loved the the variety of Sashimi - fresh, flavourful and delicious. He even went the extra mile to show us photos of every fish he served, so despite the language barrier we knew exactly what type of Sashimi we were having. Since it was our first time in Taichung, we also got some recommendations from the owners and also from other guests on what to do and where to go. All in all an amazing experience. Amazing food, friendly conversations and a great pairing of Sake. I would 100% come back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
