Nice yakitori izakaya in Tsim Sha Tsui with a cozy atmosphere. The best part is the 5 different seasoning powders you can customize your skewers with. Tried the buffalo mozzarella bacon roll (cheesy and addictive), soy sauce grilled rice ball (crispy and tasty), various chicken parts (skin, heart, thigh, kidney), and grilled dried cod with chilli and okra. Ended with matcha warabi mochi and a small bottle of sake. Great spot for casual drinks and sharing skewers with friends! Price per person: $500+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Needed a yakitori fix and have read a lot of positive reviews on Akai Honoo lately. Let's give it a try! たら棒 Cod Fish Cracker もも Thigh せせり Neck はつ Heart ぼんじり Tail もち米のつくね Chicken Meat Ball w/ Glutinous Rice ベーコンチーズ巻き Bacon Cheese Roll アスパラ Asparagus オクラ Okra 醤油おにぎり Shoyu Rice Ball 抹茶わらび餅 Matcha Warabi Mochi Most skewers were served piping hot and grilled to the right point, especially the thigh and neck which were still slightly pinkish inside, tender and juicy. The seasoning of those grilled with salt was pretty heavy which would be best to pair with beer. Tried tsukune with glutinous rice for the first time. The chicken meat of the tsukune itself was rather firm, which was mixed with soft bones and chopped onions. The glutinous rice on the outside was crunchy and sticky which added an interesting texture. On top of what we ordered, they also offer rare parts like chicken testicles, chicken feet meat and achilles tendon. Would also love to have sweet fish if we weren't already too full!
