we went for dinner thinking that we did not know this restaurant but had actually forgotten that we went there once many years before. and later it dawned on us why we never went back: food quality was very sub-par with 2 pricing menus, NT$3500 and NT$5000, which is slightly higher than the average nice presentable omakase's in town, all of which have much better food. we were 3 people and despite having only 4 other customers there, the service was really slow (there was even a 15-minute wait between servings). maybe it was because the chef was busy chatting with the other customers but not preparing food, and the server (his wife?) was too busy playing with her phone and not refilling tea or checking if we needed more drinks. the atmosphere (dark, musty/dank, cramped, unkept) was the worst for a japanese omakase that we have been to in taipei, which are normally bright, simple and CLEAN. we eat at omakase's twice a week and have pretty much eaten at all the omakase's in taipei many times over and this by far is the worst. any conveyor belt sushi chain has better food, atmosphere, pricing, and service than here. shame on us for having not remembered that we had this utterly disappointing experience before... Price per person: $2,000+ Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

Just....... Wow! One of the most amazing meals i have ever had. The chef's palate and attention to detail were amazing, super fresh local ingredients in season, and a well paced progression of courses. The chef and his waitress were lovely and really accommodating, my wife and I had an amazing meal and a great way to spend our last night in Taiwan. I'm already trying to figure out how to get back! Price per person: $2,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
