Amazing hakka and western fusion, plus excellent service by their staff (lady in red). The food also seems to take inspiration from cuisines of other countries, such as the plating looks like French. Each dish we tried was on point and had generous portions. Special shoutouts to their curry noodle, risotto and soups! The staff also provide very detailed recommendations for each of their dishes also helped us take photos of their food~ Overall, it was an excellent dining experience with meticulous service! 9/10, would definitely return again! We visited 猫狸村Miaoli Village randomly on a weekday for lunch and luckily got a table for four. However, we highly recommend to make a reservation ahead since there are only 28 indoor dining seats. The decor is renovated from an old house into modern style with cozy ambiance. They serve fusion cuisine which infuses traditional Hakka dishes into Italian dishes. We got a salad, 3 appetizers, a pasta and a risotto to share with a group of four and the portion was great with a little high price in the neighborhood. The food was amazingly delicate and delicious from plating to flavor. Our favorites were the crispy fried fish fillet with unique seasoning and the loofah & clam pasta which was light. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $400–600
