Great seafood at great prices. Don't expect friendly service or comfortable seating, but its part of the HK dai pai dong experience. Every dish was done very well and the food was super fresh, especially the scallops with vermicelli and ginger. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: HK$200–250 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Ok, it's our first time buying live/ fresh seafood from the market, then bringing them up to a restaurant for 加工/ cooking. In the end, the combined bill is south of HKD 1k (for a lot of clams/ prawns and a live grouper), which we thought is reasonable by Hong Kong's standards.. and probably a third of what we would have paid at the likes of Lei Yue Mun. Now, is it good value for the price? We can't say it's bad seafood. If we're in Singapore, we would have rated this quite highly (with one eye on the would-be price in Singapore). Net net, we do think the seafood quality/ experience at Lei Yue Mun is significantly better (than here), but we don't think the seafood is much less fresh - so is it in the cooking/ chef's technique? We can't be sure. Maybe it'll need a 2nd experience to validate this conclusion. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: HK$300–350 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
