The food was really good, and the views of victoria harbor were also very beautiful. I especially enjoyed the 燒肉(crispy roast pork) which was very crispy and well made. Also, the eel cheung fun was especially tasty, with good texture and uniqueness. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant, and I had a fulfilling pleasant dining experience there. Expensive but very, very good. Dining at King Lung Heen located on the 9th floor of the Palace Museum Hong Kong is an exquisite experience. You get beautiful food and a magnificent view of the harbour and across to Hong Kong Island. As a yum-cha experience, it is expensive by HK standards. By Australian standards, it is what one would pay at a decent yum-cha restaurant in Melbourne or Sydney, the difference is that at King Kung Heen we are talking another level. Each dish is beautifully crafted and the flavours and textures were just right. The pan fried radish cake was the only one that was less than perfectly executed, the flavour was right on point but it was slightly on the oily side. The shrimp dumpling in ginseng soup was amazing, the dumpling itself had the correct texture and shrimp. The pineapple char siu pastry was whimsical and a delight. The desserts were to die for.
