If you’re looking for authentic local flavors in Sai Wan, Sang Kee Marinade (生記滷味) is a solid local spot. It’s a classic Hong Kong hole-in-the-wall—very tiny, with only about 10 to 12 seats inside, so most customers grab their food to go. The Food: I ordered the Goose Leg with Rice. The goose leg was wonderful—richly marinated, savory, tender, and packed with traditional Chiu Chow flavor. The tofu that came with it wasn't really my thing, but the goose itself definitely made up for it. Dine-In vs. Takeaway: The eating area inside is quite cramped, and with the typical Hong Kong heat and humidity, it can get warm fast. Verdict: Great food overall! Next time, I’ll definitely skip dining in and just order takeaway so I can enjoy that delicious goose leg in air-conditioned comfort.
