A very cute vegetarian restaurant in the middle of Lai Chi Kok. Run by a couple, it is a this this rice place where you can choose 2-3 dishes with rice. They also have snacks and gluten which sells out quickly. The food is great! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $50–100

Look for the entrance of the CC Mall so that the escalator can lead you down to the basement where a small food court and 素一素 are. I came in from the HK Industrial Centre and took the very old school human operated lift to get to the basement (car park) and then walked in. It was a bit confusing. For lunch, they have a variety of vegan dishes that one may choose 3-4 of them. The lunch set includes quinoa rice and veggie soup as well. The food is good, not too oily or salty. I assume that they also don’t serve 五辛 (five spices) there because it looks like a Buddhist restaurant. Love that the dining area is independent from the rest of the food court. Service staffers can speak English so communication shouldn’t be a problem. I’d really look forward to testing out their dinner menu soon!
