There's a low-key Vietnamese neighbourhood eatery near my home, run by a Vietnamese couple. I recently tried their charcoal-grilled pork neck with vermicelli salad, and it was such a pleasant surprise! The pork neck was grilled perfectly — crispy on the outside, tender inside, with a nice subtle charcoal aroma. When you bite into it, it's juicy but not greasy at all. The vermicelli is mixed with fresh mint, cilantro, shredded carrot, and crushed peanuts, then drizzled with the owner's secret sweet-sour-spicy sauce. The flavours are rich and layered, super appetising and ideal for summer. The prices are very reasonable, and they even include a drink. It really captures that authentic Vietnamese street food vibe. For a local neighbourhood spot, the standard is excellent — strongly recommended! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
