西螺的社口麵是一間很有家庭感的小麵店，店內只有三桌，沒有冷氣，靠電風扇通風，環境乾淨簡單。這次點了陽春麵、餛飩湯和貢丸湯。陽春麵湯頭清爽偏淡，帶著油蔥香氣，麵條略軟但不失順口；餛飩湯皮薄餡細，湯底清清的，喝起來很家常；貢丸湯的丸子彈性不錯，湯頭風味也最明顯。湯頭調味稍微鹹一些，也許是在地人大多從事務農。用餐時有種在鄰居家吃麵的感覺，雖然環境不是特別舒適，但能感受到一種樸實的小鎮風味。 Socou Noodle in Xiluo is a cozy, family-style noodle shop with only three tables inside. There’s no air conditioning, just electric fans for ventilation, and the place is simple yet clean. I tried the plain noodles, wonton soup, and meatball soup. The plain noodles come with a light broth and a nice fried shallot aroma; the noodles are slightly soft but still enjoyable. The wonton soup has thin wrappers and a gentle, home-style flavor. The meatball soup stands out the most, with a bouncy texture and a stronger taste. The broth is a bit on the salty side—perhaps fitting for a farming town where people prefer a bolder flavor.
