A lovely place to have tea and a sweet snack with friends. The atmosphere is lovely and Japanese style, just like the menu. Some rules to consider are that everyone must order a drink and that the time you can stay there is limited (I believe 90 minutes). While some of the desserts and drinks are pricey, there are affordable options. My drink and cake totalled 150 NTD. Of course, the environment is also part of the experience. We were seated in a private room (take off your shoes), which was perfect for the occasion. The staff are ok, and service was fairly efficient. They are discrete and not pushy. The environment is lovely, with lots of art and traditional designs. There is a shop connected to it, but it wasn't open when we visited. Otherwise, I would have bought some snacks to share with my friends. There's also a lovely back yard, which is worth checking out. My friends, who have more exquisite tastes than me, were impressed by all of the drinks and especially the desserts. I had apple juice, which was very nice, and a honey cake (in my opinion fairly average). Based on my friends' reactions, I believe this is a place worth visiting if you are in Hualien
