My partner and I have been in Taiwan for a week (Taipei and Jiufen before Ruisui) and this is absolutely, THE BEST food we’ve eaten the whole time we’ve been here. We are vegans and it’s been difficult finding flavorful food that is fresh and filling in Taiwan. Most things have meat, dairy or eggs in them so we’ve been super frustrated. But this place is INCREDIBLE! We both had the vegetable hot pot with spicy sauce. The vegetables we re incredibly fresh and the baby corn and cabbage may have been the best part (and I’m normally not an huge fan of corn). Clearly they use fresh ingredients from the region and it really shows. Also, the service was perfect. Our waitress was super sweet and even brought us watermelon from the region to try. It was the best we’ve ever had. We are from an area of the United States known for its vegan food so the fact that we had this mind-blowing meal made our entire trip so far.
