Note: this place is no longer a van! The owner has upgraded and the new address is opposite Banana Hostel and the big Pikachu - you'll know it when you see it. It's now called the Windmill Sister. In a word: charming. Delicious breakfast or lunch spot, and I didn't try dinner but I'm sure it's fantastic. Very cheap, family-run, feels like home. Longer review follows: I dropped by this place for a quick snack before a dive and paid 60NTD for an omelette and a milk tea. Delicious, fast, and chatty service with a big smile. I knew I had to come back. I came again the next day and ordered #9 - pancakes, eggs and bacon for 105NTD. Simple, comforting. Good if you like your pancakes and eggs moist and a little runny. Food service super fast as before, but the coffee took 5-10 minutes, and that's because it's excellent. Freshly ground, a pourover Mandheling-Brazilian blend, very delicious, made slowly but so worth it. Anne who runs the place was so happy to see me return that she even added an extra meal free of charge: omelette with cheese and hash browns cooked into it. Exactly what I needed after a night of kaoliang. This is such a special place, but I was the only customer. It deserves better! The walls were painted by the owner's husband, the family are all here, everything is bursting with life. This is the kind of hidden gem that everyone hopes to discover when they're on holiday. It is a real joy to eat at the Windmill Sister. Price per person: $1–200 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Lots of meat free options
