鷄道樂 – Simple, Delicious, and Worth a Visit I saw a review where someone claimed their partner was “forced” to buy ramen before entering—let’s clear that up. No one is forcing you to buy anything. Like many smaller eateries, they may expect each person to order at least one item, but that’s just common etiquette, especially in a busy, touristy area. If unsure, just ask the staff—no big deal. Now, onto the food. Yes, you place your order at the entrance, and the menu is limited, but that’s actually a good thing. What they do serve, they do exceptionally well. I had the Truffle Ramen with an added egg, and it was absolutely delicious. They even offered a free extra serving of noodles, but I had to pass (for the sake of my waistline). Service? No issues at all. The guy at the door was super friendly and just matter-of-fact—nothing rude about it. One thing to note—they don’t serve alcohol, which is actually a nice change. If you’re coming from Taipei or staying locally, 鷄道樂 is definitely worth a visit for a simple yet satisfying bowl of ramen.
