I couldn’t decide what to have for lunch—I just wanted something simple, nothing too extravagant. A good bowl of rice with a variety of 반찬 (side dishes) sounded perfect, and whenever I feel this way, I come here. Like its name 가득드림 (which roughly means “generously offered”), this place truly lives up to it. It offers an impressive selection of freshly made 반찬, all prepared right on the spot by warm, auntie-like ladies who give the place a comforting, home-style feel. From fluffy 계란말이 and crispy 생선구이 to savory 부침개 and nostalgic 떡볶이, every dish is satisfying and tastes like something you’d get at a well-loved family table. Over the years, the price has gone up a bit, but the quality has only improved—making it more than worth it. For just 11,000원, you get all-you-can-eat rice and 반찬, whether you dine in or take it to go. The takeout portions are generous—easily enough for two meals.
