Among their various options, I ordered the braised pollack with dried radish greens, which comes loaded with savory greens. The braised dish served at our table looked incredibly appetizing, with the rich sauce beautifully infused deep into the tender pollack meat and greens. The flavor profile is fundamentally sweet, savory, and highly addictive. However, the fiery kick of the seasoning builds up afterward, so for those who struggle with spicy food, it is definitely quite spicy. Just as the heat started to overwhelm the palate, the freshly cooked hot stone pot rice saved the day with its glossy, savory grains that beautifully neutralized the spice and restored a perfect balance. Finishing the meal with the warm, soothing scorched rice tea (Sungnyung) at the end was absolutely satisfying. Although it was a sweat-inducing challenge due to the heat, I highly recommend this spot as a foolproof Gongju eatery where you can enjoy the ultimate combination of sweet-spicy pollack and excellent stone pot rice.
