고바우식당 Go-Ba-Woo Shikdang In Korea, you will encounter commonplace restaurants in the category of "밥집 bapjip(directly translated into meal/rice house." As the name implies, it serves a bowl of rice as one meal. A typical Korean meal is to finish a bowl of rice with help of soup and side dishes(aka ‘반찬 banchan’). A sip of soup, a spoonful of rice. A little bit of stir-fried anchovies, a spoonful of rice. Just like that. Side dishes usually differ from day to day. You can choose the soup that comes to the center.
