Staff & Service Staff were friendly and efficient. Our server was quick to take orders and even offered recommendations when asked. There was no long wait for the food, and water and side dishes were replenished promptly upon request. ⸻ Menu Overview As expected from a gamjatang house, the menu centers around pork back-bone stew in various portion sizes, perfect for 1 to 4 people. It also includes some standard Korean side dishes and optional add-ons like noodles or rice. The menu is straightforward and easy to read, likely with picture references or basic English/Korean labels for non-Korean speakers. ⸻ Food Evaluation We ordered the traditional gamjatang, and it was delivered piping hot in a large black pot. Visually, it was a showstopper — a generous pile of perilla leaves and chopped scallions sat on top of simmering greens and thick cuts of pork spine. The broth had a deep reddish hue, indicating a rich, slow-simmered base with a moderate spice level. It had a well-balanced flavor — slightly earthy from the perilla and mustard greens, savory with a hint of garlic and fermented soybean depth. The pork was incredibly tender, falling off the bone effortlessly. Each chunk had the right ratio of meat, fat, and collagen — making every bite flavorful and satisfying. The mustard greens (ugeoji) added a nice tangy, soft texture that soaked up the broth beautifully. When paired with rice and banchan, the whole meal felt hearty and comforting — ideal for cold weather or a soul-warming lunch.
