The Kaisendong was really tasty and fresh. If you are not a big fan of seafood, beef kyudong of here is a great option as well. The staff were so kind and professional, and not necessary to worry about the communication if you speak English. Could not believe that I could enjoy nice kiesendong less than 20 bucks includes sweet dessert with great service. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₩10,000–20,000

The elegant atmosphere in this restaurant led me to expect a refined dining experience. However, as a person with a fifty year love of sushi, developed during the course of ten years spent in and out of Japan early on and many years eating sushi the world over ever since, I can only say that the main offering was simply mediocre, and thus, a disappointment. The concept is somewhat novel—apparently developed by a small shop in the heart of Japan’s famed Tukiji fish market—but simply does not lend itself to fine dining in my opinion. Further, I believe the sashimi used needs to be “of the moment” fresh when scraped off the bone as much of this is. Otherwise intricacies and changes in character very quickly. This fish did not meet that criteria, and the uni “sea urchin”, in particular, was not up to par. The tuna sashimi was also sliced razor thin and didn’t seem freshly cut. All in all the food seems seriously overpriced for what you get. I believe this kind of food would do better in a local fish market, offered at competitive prices and in an environment that makes it affordable to more people.
