I can’t read Korean so it looks like 66YY to me! My Queen and I were hungry and didn’t have a lot in mind what to eat. She was sick after returning from Busan so we decided to just walk around aimlessly to find food. We found this and went in for a brunch. Stall owner realised we are foreigners and gave us a Chinese/English menu so ordering was ordering was much easier. Besides cooking and serving, when there’s no active order the owner will sit there and watch her TV which was super chill! Food wise, the curry pork cutlet was so delicious. The porridge is good, well flavoured and cooked well! The kimbap was the highlight though.. and the store title actually says something about Kimbap so we were lucky to have ordered it. This was our first meal in Korea after arriving on a red-eye flight and leaving our luggage at the hotel. We were drawn in by the traditional, no-frills atmosphere, reasonable prices, and what we assumed would be vegetarian-friendly options. We ordered soft tofu stew and mixed fried vegetables. Unfortunately, we didn’t clearly emphasise that we wanted vegetarian dishes, and both ended up containing seafood or meat. I believe this could easily be adjusted if you communicate clearly with the owner, as it seems to be a one-person operation. Portion-wise, the tofu stew was on the smaller side but flavourful and went well with rice. The fried mixed vegetables with glass noodles were tasty too. Overall, it was a decent experience — good to try, but you wouldn’t miss much if you skipped it. Not bad, but not a must-visit. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
